JOHANNESBURG - A lawyer in Alberton is facing being disbarred after being accused of malpractice by at least twenty seven clients, and some of her alleged wrongdoings are jaw-dropping.
Nonhle Nkomonde allegedly took the savings of a client who passed away, R2 million, and used the money to buy herself eight properties in Soweto and Orange Farm.
She left only R9 000 in the passed client’s bank account for his family.
Nkomonde also allegedly fraudulently transferred the house of another client to her company without telling her client.
Nkomonde allegedly sold another client’s house for R350 000, but never gave the client the money from the sale.
Nkomonde does not have the qualifications to work on property transfers and the estate of deceased people. She was only admitted as an attorney in late 2022. All this in less than two and a half years.
