JOHANNESBURG - The EFF wants all alcohol advertising, promotion and sponsorship banned.
The party has introduced a Private Member’s Bill, that seeks to amend the Liquor Act of 2003.
The act currently allows for advertising, promotion and product placement of liquor,
across various media channels.

Critics warn that the EFF's proposed Liquor Amendment Bill could hurt the informal economy, where alcohol sales are often a lifeline for small businesses.
