Dam Wall Burst | Govt launches inquiry

JOHANNESBURG - The company that owns the Jagersfontein mine dam says it will take responsibility for the collapse as the government announced a formal inquiry into the matter.

Minerals Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe visited the Free State town to assess the damage.

At least one person died, and hundreds more are displaced after the dam burst on Sunday.

And community members are demanding compensation.
