Defaulting Tshwane customers’ prepaid meters blocked

PRETORIA - Some Tshwane residents are facing a dark Christmas.

The city is blocking prepaid electricity meters of customers whose accounts are in arrears.

It's part of its aggressive credit control measures to recoup billions owed by defaulting residents.
