Discussion | Action needed to stub out tobacco addiction

JOHANNESBURG - Tobacco use kills over seven million people worldwide every year.

And, it's not just the smokers who are dying.

Over 1.3 million die from second-hand smoke.

This is according to the latest World Health Organization Report on the Global Tobacco Epidemic.

It says more action is needed to stub out the scourge.

The body says, despite global campaigns, access to tobacco products remains too easy.

We discuss this with the World Health Organization's Jaimie Guerra.
