CAPE TOWN - Cosatu, has proposed that the Treasury engage with the Government Employees Pension Fund to consider a pension contribution holiday to fund any budget shortfall.
This after the South African government faces significant challenges to balance their budget ahead of the new announcement deadline on the 12th of March.
Mathew Parks, Cosatu's Parliamentary Coordinator explained how this could help avoid the need for a Vat hike.
