It’s being reported that there is still a standoff between the ANC and DA.
Three weeks ago the budget speech by finance minister Enoch Godongwana was cancelled after the DA and other members of the Government of National Unity – including the ANC - objected to a two percentage point increase in VAT that they were only told about on the day.
