Discussion | DA will vote against Ministers it deems compromised

CAPE TOWN - The Democratic Alliance (DA) is standing by its decision to vote against budget allocations for departments led by ministers it considers compromised.

This includes Human Settlements Minister Thembi Simelane and Higher Education Minister Nobuhle Nkabane.

The DA has filed a criminal complaint against Minister Nkabane, accusing her of misleading Parliament about the legitimacy of the so-called independent panel involved in appointing SETA board members.

But as tensions rise, questions are mounting about whether this approach is deepening divisions within the Government of National Unity.
