PRETORIA - Authorities are investigating the bus crash on the R21, east of Johannesburg, that's left 16 people dead and dozens injured.
It happened a few days after a fatal accident in KwaZulu-Natal, that claimed nine lives.
Dr Mathetha Mokonyama, Impact Area Manager for Transport Systems and Operations, at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research shared solutions to prevent and manage the riks of such accidents.
"We are investing in infrastructure, digital infrastructure census and other computational infrastructure that will help us to measure risks, so that when authorties report we are able to say this is the risk level and this is how it's changing," he said.
