Discussion | Eastern Cape to receive disaster relief funds

EAST LONDON - Disaster relief funds are being released by COGTA.

This follows the devastating floods and snowfall that recently hit several provinces.

At least 107 people have died 103 in the Eastern Cape, three in KwaZulu-Natal, and one in the Western Cape.

With hundreds of families now displaced and homeless.

COGTA Minister Velenkosini Hlabisa has announced that the Eastern Cape will receive over R500 million in municipal disaster-recovery grants.
