JOHANNESBURG - High levels of hunger and food insecurity threaten the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
That's according to the World Food Programme's State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World (SOFI) Report, 2024.

Economic slowdown, climate change, and conflict are some of the factors impacting food security. Around 757 million people are believed to be undernourished.
Africa is the region most affected by this.
