JOHANNESBURG - South Africa needs to get moving.

Almost half of all women fall short of WHO-recommended activity levels, with a worrying drop-off as they age.

But, they're not alone, this is a global trend, with almost two billion not active enough.

It places them at risk of heart attacks and stroke, diabetes, dementia and even cancer.

The WHO recommends at least two-and-a-half hours of moderate activity per week.
