CAPE TOWN - As Youth Month draws to a close, South Africa continues to face serious challenges in the education sector, with a high number of young people not in education, training, or employment.

This ongoing crisis is being described as a ticking time-bomb for the country’s economic future.

Floreat Primary School, Principal Kristi Rossouw says the focus must shift to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments especially in subjects often seen as difficult.

She says the goal is to make learners feel at home, understood, and equipped with the tools and skills they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
