PRETORIA - In efforts to try and save dams, the Water Research Commission is embarking on the National Siltation Management Strategy for Dams in South Africa.

The programme is funded by the Department of Water and Sanitation.
The aim is to develop and pilot a strategy that will ensure effective siltation management.
