Discussion | Over 500 detectives left SAPS between Oct and July

PRETORIA - Between October of last year and July 19, 2024, over 500 detectives left the police force voluntarily. 

Police Minister, Senzo Mchunu, disclosed this in parliament a week ago.

The Minister was unable to provide an explanation for the departures.

But, KZN Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says Task Force members often leave for private security companies.
