Discussion | Over R10m spent on battle with Judge Hlophe

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Judge President John Hlophe’s fate lies in the hands of President Cyril Ramaphosa.

It’s now up to the President to formally remove him as a judge.

That’s after he was impeached by the National Assembly.

It’s now emerged the state has spent over R10-million in its 16-year legal battle against Hlophe.

DA MP Glynnis Breytenbach asked the question in Parliament.
