STELLENBOCH - Parents in Cape Town are increasingly worried about their children’s safety on the way to school.

That’s according to a new Stellenbosch University study. It found anxiety across the Metro, but for very different reasons in different areas.
According to the university's Professor Sophia du Plessis, the important results from the parents include that they would encourage school patrol to help children cross the road, as well as strategies to restrict speed in school facilities such as speed humps.
