JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has become a haven for the movement of illegal substances a fact underlined by a drug bust worth over R100,000 in Limpopo this week.

A big part of this trade is the sale of illicit cigarettes.

According to Thabang Bhebe from the Clear The Air campaign, people are unaware that they are affecting the economy and health in general.

He added that the increasing demand is due to the comparatively low cost and accessibility of this product, which many young people purchase because it is affordable.

Bhebe urges the law to interfere.
