JOHANNESBURG - Home Affairs has issued the first marriage certificates where the type of marriage is officially listed as Muslim.
It follows a 2022 Constitutional Court ruling that these marriages must be recognised.
But, experts say the move falls short of the apex court's ruling.
They say it's merely a clerical and not substantial change.
Home Affairs changed its internal system to categorise these Civil Unions as Muslim.
