JOHANNESBURG - Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance on Tuesday welcomed the IEC's briefing on electronic voting.
However, it has raised concerns about the country's readiness.
Challenges include blackouts, digital literacy and cybersecurity.
While no decision has been made, the IEC says a national conversation is needed.
A six-month public consultation is currently underway, with a Green Paper expected next year.
