JOHANNESBURG - Every year government vows reform, inclusive growth and prosperity for all but nothing has changed for young people.
Youth unemployment stands at 60%, job opportunities are scarce and over 3.8 million young people are excluded from education, work, or training.
In other words, nearly half of individuals aged 15 to 34 lack stable employment.
In 2025, young people make up 76% of those who have lost their jobs in the first quarter.
Tshidi Lencosasa from the Budget Justice Coalition spoke to eNCA.
