JOHANNESBURG - Student protests have rocked the Universities of Fort Hare and Free State over the past two weeks.
At Fort Hare, demonstrations over student representation escalated into violent clashes.
Campus property to the tune of almost half a billion rand was also destroyed.
And, this week, unrest spread to the Free State.
Opposition to the new registration policy led to campus closures and several arrests for public violence.
