DRC wants SA companies to help build 3,100km corridor

GOMA - As the SADC region withdraws its peacekeepers from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the DRC government of has sent a delegation to South Africa.

The delegation is here to secure South Africa's assistance in infrastructure improvement like road construction and other major projects.

The DRC is planning to construct a 3,100 kilometre transportation corridor, to link mines in the interior to the coast.

A government delegation was sent to start engaging South African companies regarding the mega project.

Fortune Ngombe, the managing director of Tango’s Consultants and one of the delegates, discussed this initiative with eNCA.
