But, it's opened consumers up to a network of criminals who prey on unsuspecting victims.

Bongani Matshisi, is the founder of Paysho a platform that acts as a security buffer for online scams.
He says their platform acts as facilitator of transactions between two parties that need to pay each other for goods and services.
