Electoral Matters Amendment Bill | Parties vow to join legal action

JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa is risking litigation if he signs the Electoral Matters Amendment Bill into law.

Political parties and civil society organisations have asked him not to sign it, saying the bill's unconstitutional.

Ten political parties are petitioning the President.

They're asking that Ramaphosa send the Bill back to the National Assembly.

Alternatively, he should delay the implementation of some sections, until after the elections.

We discuss this with IFP treasurer-general Narend Singh.
