JOHANNESBURG - How will the JSE start trade on Wednesday?

The Japanese yen has been under severe pressure, recently sinking to a 40-year low of roughly ¥162.50 against the U.S. dollar. Higher U.S rates also making dollar assets more attracting, weighing heavily on the yen.

The JSE is indeed poised for a strong opening, tracking a broader global risk-on sentiment fueled by an impressive, tech-led rally overnight on Wall Street and mostly higher closes across key Asia-Pacific exchanges.
