JOHANNESBURG - Convicted murderer and rapist Thabo Bester went to the High Court in Pretoria to demand urgent access to a laptop and the internet.

Bester said he needed it for his escape and deportation case.

But, the judge determined the application was not urgent and struck it off the roll.
