JOHANNESBURG - Women are being encouraged to pursue professions in science.
Sam Gqomo from Womandla Foundation hopes to dispel the myth, that these fields are dominated by men.
Women working in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) fields will be honoured at the 5th Annual awards, for their innovative approaches to science.
Gqomo said, "There are careers such as visual communication. In the science field, people are using means of visual education."
