MTUNZINI - Small-scale farmers are being encouraged to expand their networks to boost trade among themselves and ensure their products reach retailers.

But they’re not alone in this effort. The HCI Foundation has hosted the second edition of its Food Indaba in KwaZulu-Natal.
The foundation supports eight local organisations, which provide training and assistance to hundreds of farmers, helping them move toward self-sufficiency.
