Freedom Park | Museum alleged to be wasting money on inflated salaries

JOHANNESBURG - A damning investigative report by the Daily Maverick alleges that the CEO at Freedom Park, is splurging taxpayer’s money on a luxury vehicle and over-inflated management and directors’ salaries.

In their 2022/23 annual report, Freedom Park was allocated a budget of 91-point-6-million-rand of which 58-point-3-million-rand was spent on salaries alone.

Recently, employees from one the country’s flagship museums wrote a letter to Parliament alleging that their boss, Jane Mufamadi is guilty of a multitude of misdemeanours.
