JOHANNESBURG - A recent UNICEF study says more children and adolescents living with HIV continue to be denied access to early diagnosis, life-saving treatment, and care.
It found that 1.9 million children could be infected with HIV, and almost a million could die of AIDS-related causes by 2040.
This is due to the slow pace of progress in several countries.
UNICEF senior HIV/AIDS specialist Shaffiq Essajee discusses these findings.
