The facility has recently rolled out groundbreaking gender based violence screening intervention.

With the support of Hospital Trust, Standard Bank, a number of Foundations and individual givers, it's enabled universal routine screening for intimate partner violence across health services at the hospital for the first time.

One year ago, during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, this easy to use, anonymous screening tool was piloted at Groote Schuur Hospital.

Medical Services Manager at the Groote Schuur hospital, Sadia Murray discussed this.
