JOHANNESBURG - Three countries will receive increased attention this festive season.
The Border Management Authority will closely monitor Lesotho, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
Citizens from these countries make up the majority of travellers in and out of South Africa.
BMA Commissioner Dr Michael Masiapato said it is a very big task.
He said it includes issues of traffic management and work inside the ports themselves.
Masiapato mentioned some of the increased risks that officials will be looking out for during the festive season.
"One of the first things we have to deal with is the issue of chaos in the corridor, particularly in the first leg in as far as the execution is concerned in the exit leg," he said.
"We have to make sure we do effective corder management."
