KZN prosecution’s boss says NPA can't be blamed for PKTT prosecutions delays

PRETORIA - The National Prosecuting Authority in KwaZulu-Natal says it cannot be blamed for delays with prosecuting political killings cases.

Provincial Director of Public Prosecutions, Elaine Harrison, says the removal of Political Killings Task Team dockets from KZN resulted in unnecessary delays.

She was testifying at the Madlanga Commission on Friday.

Harrison says the team is now working around the clock to finalise the cases since they've been returned.
