Lesotho Highlands maintenance | Public urged to use water sparingly

JOHANNESBURG - The six-month maintenance of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project Tunnel is underway.

It's affecting water supply in Gauteng and the Free State.

The Water and Sanitation Department says the maintenance is crucial to protect the infrastructure in the long-run.

Despite supply disruptions, the department says the public should not be alarmed as contingencies are in place.
