Maternal Mental Health | How can music reduce prenatal anxiety

TYGERBERG, WC - Research has found that engaging with music can boost your health and well-being.

Growing evidence suggests that music-based interventions may help support maternal mental health.

Participating in music has been shown to reduce prenatal stress and anxiety, which can influence the physical and psychological development of a child.

Now, reseachers at Stellenbosch University will be taking part in an international project,
that examines how music can support expectant mother.  

Professor Sarah Skeen from the Institute of Life Course Health Research at Stellenbosch University has more information on this.
