Mid-year burnout has hit! Here is what you need to know

PRETORIA - It's officially mid year and people are starting to feel the pressure.

Many are now looking to December for a much needed respite from stress and work, but that's still months away.

What you're feeling could be mid-year burnout.

A clinical psychologist with the South African Depression and Anxiety Group Thabo Lephoto gives a list of signs that show you are suffering from burnout 

  • You feel physically sick
  • Emotionally exhausted
  • Mental exhaustion
  • Being very pessimistic and disengaged from your work

Lephoto says it is important to take time to rest and recharge.
