JOHANNESBURG - The General Industries Workers Union of South Africa (GIWUSA) has slammed the African Critical Minerals Summit.
Giwusa claims the gathering is a plot to plunder critical minerals, dispossess communities of their land, and ruthlessly exploit working-class labour.

The union is calling for a socialist mining alternative strategy for the working class.
It says this will lay the foundation for beneficiation, industrial development, and the creation of millions of job opportunities across the continent.
