JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has seen a number of protests at mines recently.
On Monday, hundreds of mineworkers have emerged from a four-day sit-in at Gold One Mine in Springs.

The mineworkers have come back up to the surface due to hunger and health complaints.
The issues that have led to many of these protests range from dismissals to union disputes.
