ENNERDALE - The National Coloured Congress' first shot at infiltrating Gauteng has not gone to plan.
Known more for its political role in the Western Cape, a handful of people were present as the party looked to open its first branch in Gauteng.
The poor turnout comes after eight months of mobilisation in the province.
Organisers say they will not be deterred as the issues within the Coloured community continue.
The party says it will continue trying to expand into Gauteng, with a branch set to be launched in Eersterust, Tshwane on 15 February.
