JOHANNESBURG - A new contractor was announced to take over the reconstruction of the damaged stretch of Lilian Ngoyi Street in Johannesburg.
This is after the city terminated the contract with Step-Up Engineering.

The street was severely damaged in a gas explosion about a year and a half ago.
The Joburg Roads and Transport MMC said while there are no solid timelines, the City is looking to speed up the repairs.
