No Water! Malvern Clinic left high and dry for 6 weeks

JOHANNESBURG - Malvern Clinic in Johannesburg has not had running water for six weeks now.

This situation has tested the patience of both patients and staff, who're relying on buckets, a tanker.

Basic handwashing is a struggle, raising the risk of infections.

Some patients are being sent to nearby restaurants to use the toilet.

This is despite an announcement by the Gauteng Health Department, that water had been restored to all healthcare facilities in the province.

eNCA reporter Naomi Kobbie is at Malvern Clinic with the latest.
