Over 10,600 pupils waiting placement in Western Cape

CAPE TOWN - Over 10,000 Western Cape pupils will only be placed in schools after they open.

The provincial education department says this is due to late applications for Grades 1 and 8.

The Western Cape has seen a surge in applications.
