Paris Olympics | Saner carves name into SA history books

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa will be well represented at the Paris Olympics.

SASCOC has, so far, put together a Team SA group of 81 athletes across 15 sporting codes.

Aquatics and track-and-field boast the most athletes, while sports like archery, badminton, rowing and wrestling have only one or two representatives.

Team SA will also be sending a fencer for the first time since the 2008 Beijing Games.

Harry Saner will be flying the country's flag high in the French capital, this after he beat Mali's Keletigui Diabate 15 - 13 in the Men’s Individual Epee event at the African qualifiers in Algeria.
