JOHANNESBURG - The Metsimaholo Local Municipality Mayor is furious about a viral video.
It shows two men seemingly urinating on the faces of politicians.
The video, captured in 2021, shows the men laughing as they point to to urinals plastered with images of President Cyril Ramaphosa, former President Jacob Zuma, EFF Leader Julius Malema, and fomer Home Affiars minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
The owner of the No Name Bar and Restaurant in Sasolburg now faces a complaint with the SA Human Rights Commission.
A former employee, appeared before the Equality Court on Friday, citing racism and unfair working conditions.
Metsimaholo Local Municipality Mayor Jack Malindi didn't mince words, calling the incident racist and declaring it does not constitute free speech.
