REACTION | Unit 5 of Kusile Power Station synchronised to the grid

JOHANNESBURG - Unit five of the Kusile Power Station has been synchronised to the national grid.

The unit is expected to contribute an extra 800 megawatts to the country’s power system.

The utility says efforts will continue towards adding more generation capacity to the grid, to reduce and ultimately end blackouts.

We spoke to an energy expert, Hilton Trollip, for a reaction.
