JOHANNESBURG - Around 4,500 illegal miners remain underground in Klerksdorp.
Police and soldiers cut off food and water supply to force them out.
So far, over a thousand have resurfaced and have been arrested.
It's being reported that those remaining are weak and in deteriorating health.
