SA Morning Soapbox | Links between displays of wealth and crime

JOHANNESBURG - A 26-year-old school finance administrator is on trial for allegedly ordering a hit on a principal and an administrative assistant after they questioned her about R52,000 that had vanished from the school's account.

The two were shot dead at Inxiwni Primary School in Thembisa.

This morning on the SA Morning Soapbox we are asking you: Why do we as South Africans have this obsession with displays of wealth, and how is that contributing to these kinds of crimes?
