PRETORIA - President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Professor Firoz Cachalia as Acting Police Minister after placing Senzo Mchunu on special leave.
Mchunu, along with several police generals, has been implicated in allegations of corruption by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
Meanwhile, pressure is mounting on the President to axe Higher Education Minister Nobuhle Nkabane, who has also been engulfed by scandals.
