JOHANNESBURG - The Africa Centres for Disease Control is urging states to find alternative forms of funding.
This as the World Health Organization prepares for the US withdrawal.
President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order to leave the body as soon as he took office.
During that signing frenzy, he also cut development aid for 90 days, pending a review.
That cut funding to Pepfar which supports Aids treatment in South Africa.
While that funding halt has been suspended, the review is still ongoing.
We discuss what this means with Linda-Gail Bekker, CEO of the Desmond Tutu Health Foundation.
